Amber White

Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC Board Approved Supervisor, Practice Owner

About Amber

You may have been struggling with overcoming past trauma or abuse, dealing with overwhelming stressors in life, or feeling unheard or misunderstood in your relationship. NOW is the time to turn that around. My goal is to provide exceptional therapeutic services, by helping to identify personal and relational strengths and to build/strengthen you as an individual, as well as the relationships you are in.

To assist with trauma/PTSD issues, I use EMDR therapy to reprocess traumatic memories and eliminate intrusive triggers you are facing today. If marital/relationship issues are the concern, I use Gottman Couples Therapy to heal betrayals of trust, improve bond, improve conflict management skills, and build positive communication and positive shared rituals.

As the owner and supervisor of Firm Foundations, I work closely with all of our therapists to ensure that you have the best experience possible during your healing process.

I also provide supervision services for PLPC’s.

Start today with taking steps toward a more positive, satisfied life. Call now to set up a phone consultation or therapy session.

About Hannah

“We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.” – Maya Angelou

Life can throw all types of challenges at us that can be difficult to see through. When we feel overwhelmed, having a space of our own to talk openly with someone that listens without judgement can help us gain insight into the challenges we are facing and see things in a different way.

My therapeutic approach combines solution focused brief therapy and Satir growth model therapy to create an authentic, collaborative relationship with my clients. Every person faces different challenges in life and using a variety of techniques I focus on developing a path that fits each individual person for the direction they wish to grow.

I currently hold a Bachelors in Psychology and a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Louisiana Monroe with provisional licensure through the state of Louisiana. I work with individuals, couples and families with a wide range of struggles including anxiety, depression, communication issues, marital problems, grief, loss and many others. I believe the client is the expert in their own life and I am simply a tool to help facilitate a healing process. I have a drive to help people see through the darkness life can create by fostering a safe environment built on trust, empathy and understanding.

Growth and change can be scary and painful, but we do not have to walk the path alone. We often hear the saying “look on the bright side,” but when you can’t see the light I will be here to sit with you in the dark until we find it together.

Scarlett Stansbury

Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor and Provisionally Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

About Scarlett

“Healing begins the moment we are heard”

Life is hard enough without having to go through it alone, and you aren’t meant to! No matter what brought you to this point, you are here now, and I am ready to help you take the next step in your healing process. My primary goal, as your therapist, is for you to feel both seen and heard, without fear of judgment. I also want to provide you with a safe space to process, heal, and grow. I believe every person is capable of things beyond their own realization; each of us has been given a unique set of strengths, skills, and gifts. Maybe you don’t realize your strengths yet because you are so focused on your perceived “flaws”. My desire is to provide you with resources that help you realize, develop, and utilize your strengths!

I offer a range of therapeutic services to fit your needs. I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, as well as a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. I am provisionally licensed with the state of Louisiana as a professional counselor and marriage and family therapist. I am also a trained EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist. EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that I employ in order to help clients heal from past trauma, no matter how big or “small” the trauma is. I take a systemic, person-centered approach to therapy, meaning I place great emphasis on the therapeutic-process and therapeutic-relationship. I believe that a climate of empathic understanding, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness will inspire change.

I don’t believe therapy is a cure-all that will fix everything. I believe therapy is an instrument that can be utilized to help you achieve a healthy independence and integration within your own life. No matter what you’re facing, you deserve to feel seen and heard. Allow me the privilege of walking this journey with you, whatever that may look like.

Each person has a unique set of gifts and an unmatched, individualized perspective of the world. I believe people reach their greatest potential by accepting themselves and becoming self-aware. I take a Person-Centered approach that emphasizes the importance of being your authentic self and continuing to develop that authenticity throughout your life. I want to help identify the barriers in your life that are preventing you from cultivating the life you want. I recognize the importance of comfort in everyday life and creating a comfortable space for my clients to express themselves without judgment is one of my primary goals as a therapist. I seek to make you feel heard, understood, and worthy.

I have my bachelor’s degree from Louisiana Tech University in Family and Child Studies. I am currently finishing up my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. I believe that clients are the ultimate decision-makers of their lives, and I am strictly an instrument used to promote growth and healing.

“Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step of your life. Tip toe if you must, but take the step.”

Katie Brandon

Counseling Student Intern

About Katie

Every choice we make is directly influenced by our mental health. Our mental health is worth taking time for, as it affects every pore of our being: how we think, feel, manage stress and work responsibilities, maintain relationships, cope with stress, and relate to others.

We have no ability to control the future. It’s scary. Change is scary. The unknown is scary. Seeking help is scary. Rest in the fact that you’re taking the right step. Seeking professional help is your next right move. Let me walk this journey with you and help you develop tools that empower you to change your negative core beliefs, thought processes, and behaviors.

Our time together is a safe space for you to process your thoughts and feelings. My hope is to foster a warm, inviting environment where you will feel safe to process, share, and grow. I value a collaborative relationship with my clients and favor a cognitive-behavioral approach. I am also trained in an evidence-based type of therapy called EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). EMDR is used to assist individuals dealing with all types of trauma or PTSD. My strengths and interests lie in the mind-body connection. As a certified personal trainer, I favor a holistic approach to treatment. I will address you as a “whole” by considering your physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being.

I hold a B.A in Human Development and Family Science and am currently pursuing myM.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. After graduation, I plan to work towards LPC licensure. Growth and change are not easy, but luckily, you don’t have to walk through it alone. I want to walk this journey with you.

I want to work together for you to reach your full potential, whatever that process may look like. My goal is to create an environment where you can be excited about who you are and how far you can go!

I have a B.S in Human Development and Family Science and I am now pursuing a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy.
